    Disco 2 rust spot

    The junction of top of the B pillar with the roof seems to develop rust in the D2. See my pic below. My question is: where does the water come from? The gutter on the roof. Maybe sikaflexing this gutter might help? Thoughts?

    The weld cracks and is a common problem (presumably more common the worse the roads are!) Also check top of the A pillar under the rubber seal on the inside - there is a spot weld that cracks.

    I think the welds crack because the full weight of whatever is put on the roof racks is borne by these flimsy joints.

    Same, the way the forces go through there is quite poor and it induces cracking.
