    Aftermarket temperature sensor position

I've spent ages googling and searching the forums for pictures of this and it's driving me mad. There seem to be plenty of threads regarding where I should position the engine temperature sensor for my engine guardian, but not the second one.

Does anybody have any pictures/advice of where to place the second temperature bolt on sensor please on a D2 Td5 auto please.

What do you want to measure with your second one?
Is it the auto trans temperature you want to monitor? You can plumb a sensor into the sump or pipe to/from the cooler - means cutting into the car which I don't like. I've surface mounted a sensor with insulation on the pipe to the cooler immediately after the transmission. Is a good measure of the fluid temperature coming out of the trans.

I put mine on the left hand side of the AT ,there is a blind threaded hole.
The temperature change is responsive and i have found it represents the AT temp fairly well.

I cut a panel guage into an old alarm sensor and mounted it above the mirror. ( the cut out is the same shape ).
