    Question D2 TD5 jolting in 3rd and 4th

Hi guys my D2 TD5 2001 seems to be jolting at third and forth gear at high rpm...
Done a test drive the other night 0-80km and recorded it on the nanocom evo2

Need some help working out the figures... Seems the EGR inlet cuts down to 0 at around 2632 rpm and at 2883rpm
Any ideas on how to upload a CSV file for u guys to view data?

Hi, re uploading you have to save the file to your computer them upload as an attachment with your post. See in the "manage attachments" section of your posting window. The EGR only operates to recycle gases under acceleration, hence it drops out after a time.
My auto is doing similar in addition to other things. It has been suggested that a) the MAF is on the way out b) It needs an oil change or c) the auto needs overhauling I am going to do a couple of oil changes in quick succession and see what happens as per suggestions on my thread.

The MAF readings are all very high and and consistent...
it wont let me load up the CSV as it doesn't reconise the file...

A service was done last week on all oils... Mines a manual also if it helps...
What other readings are important to look out for?

AHH A manual Well that adds a new batwing to the brew......... I assumed with the jolting it was an auto! Hmm, does it jolt when you change up or after it is in gear? oil on plate? grabbing? I seem to recall seeing something about the Nanacom files in Techtalk. Might pay to have a browse there. . That seems to be all I can think of at the moment.

Another possible would be the wastegate actuator solenoid.

Have a look on Urban Panzer's website here www.discovery2.co.uk / Waste Gate Modulator - Over boosting

    Fault code 'over boost'

Ye feels like the turbo wants to kick in but is getting stopped,
Just checked to fault codes and a fault code 'over boosting' has come up..

    Thumbs up Problem Solved...

Brought a new waste gate modular on the weekend with no success....
I found that the rod from the turbo to the waste gate was un movable with multi grips.. Had to use a screw driver and multi grips to free it up... It now moves a good 20mm back and forth....
It all looks good now,no more jolting, and rpm are now going from 2500 to 3500...
Does anyone know if this will continue getting stuck...

Very good, looks as if you found the prob. I think they do stick a bit so keep it sprayed with inox or suchlike oil like spray.
