Whats the largest tyres that can fit a D2

Ive spent some time reading forum posts and I think that the largest tyres (widest and tallest) I can put on my standard height D2 TD5 Auto without issues is

    265/70/16's

im not worried about legality, Just what is the largest that can be put on before problems like rubbing occur?

Depends on what you classify as a problem. Any larger than standard without offset rims and you will enlarge your turning circle as the tyres hit on the front rods.

If TD5 steering and suspension geometry is the same as a V8, 265 70 16 will just fit without rubbing on stock suspension.
