I have finally joined the D2 club.
I pick up the 99 TD5 D2 on saturday
(manual 221K, replaced head gasket 2011 clutch & drive shaft 2012, no amigos, no leaks)
And of course I have a newbie question. From the reseach I have done I was under the impression that all 99 model TD5s had CDL, but the current owner tells me it hasn't!
Did CDL only come on certain vehicles and not others?
Cheers
Tony

Should have the internals, just not the lever

Sounds like it should be a good thing
My 99 had the internals, just needed a lever/cable to activate it.
Have a look in "the good oil" for things to look for when servicing too.

And I have set money aside to do the silicon hose conversion, full service, EGR blanking (its already chipped so saving a bit there) etc.
I will no doubt spend many hours pouring over every detail of the car to see what I can do. I love working on/with cars ever since my first, a Wolseley 24/80.
Let the fun begin
