The CDL light can also come on if the brake light fuse pops.
Check the fuses.

Sorry, didnt understand. I just meant that if guys in the workshop didnt unlock the CDL and all the time since the prop shaft rebuilding owner ride on asphalt or concrete roads (especially turn), there was a heavy load on the transfer case, because of different angular velocity.
In the dirt/mud, on the countrary, CDL must be locked and TC must be off. On the D2a when CDL activating TC turning off.
The CDL light can also come on if the brake light fuse pops.
Check the fuses.

Any sustained period of time driving on-road with the diff lock isn't going to be good for the centre diff and probably other parts of the running gear.
Time to get it checked out methinks.
It won't actually effect the centre diff as the diff is locked and not, well, diffing.
It will have wind up, wil slip tyres every now and then but unless you're driving like a tool it won't break anything.
Of course there may also be a centre diff issue and it's been locked to keep it quiet.
What sniegy said.
This is the 'hidden brake light fuse is blown' warning light. My MY99 had this recently after connecting a dodgy trailer to the socket.
On mine the diff-lock light blinked in unison with the indicators though. It had me worried: I thought that there was a chance that my CDL was going to suddenly engage at 85km/h and scatter pieces of LR all over the highway.
But if yours is on full-time then that's probably something competely different.
Best of luck.
