    D2 alarm faults

Ok so at 5am desmorning, much to the neighbourhood's delight, the alarm went off on my D2. It happened a few nights ago where a moth was flying around inside the vehicle and set the interior sensors off. However this time was different, the horn was on continuously and when i opened the car with the FOB, the alarm kept going and didn't stop until i put the key in the ignition. Had a look around and couldn't find anything so locked the car up again and went back to bed... half an hour later it happened again! it doesn't sound like the normal alarm at all!

    thanks for any help guys

I had that happen to me 2am christmas day & then at 2:30. Never figured out what was going on, but if you lock it with the key rather than the button on the fob the internal motion sensors are not actvated - the doors are still locked & alrmed though. If it still happens that would suggest a door or bonnet sensor rather than a moth in the car.
    Cheers,
    Alex

thanks for the reply alex! yer ive had a look into that but it didn't actually sound like the car alarm but rather just the horn! a bit stumped at the moment i suppose it could possibly be the horn relay but strange that it only happened when the car was locked and alarmed and not now that it is open!
