Try Jag and Rover Spares at Newmarket; Mike Hall at Underwood or drive to the Sunshine Coast for British Off Road. BOR should have them.

Mine is starting to crack in the same place. I always thought the screws looked a bit suspect. Are they the original screws? Mine look like yours.

The original screws are black and the head sits at the bottom of a recess. I'd guess the original screws have pulled through the plastic and the larger screws have been used to hold the shroud in place.

The screws always pull through. The washers with longer screws is a decent fix because it's hard to find a used part that's not broken there and a new one is over $300 here, I think. I guess sometimes they fail even more catastrophically!

They haven't on mine, so it can't be always.

Maybe the previous owner had more money than me and paid for a new one.

I doubt it. It was covered in the same delaminated faux wood trim that was festering on the rest of the dash when I bought the car.

You can see the state of it in the background of this pic:

I rather like my Genuine Imitation Faux Wood...

Albeit mine is cracked in the same place as well but as bad. I used a tech screw with a small washer to screw back in and ran some black 3mm foam strip around the front to stop it squeaking on the dash,

I wonder if they break when hamfisted mechanics pull the grille off the aircon temp sensor to clean it. It snags behind the dash moulding.
BTW the poster's looks full of fluff.

Why not pull the dash top off and glue it together with epoxy, or if you are really keen get a motorcycle fairing repairer to plastic weld it. You could even try to weld it from behind . Just get a soldering iron and smear it around.
    Regards Philip A
