If your game to steal a butter knife out of the kitchen drawer this is the tool for you.
just cut off 3/4" from the end of the knife cut it square to the blade
cut a notch 1/4' wide X 3/8" deep and sharpen the end with a 3/16" taper on the flats,leave a blunt end about 10 though is enough so it doesn't cut the trim.then bend it in the vice (see foto)
if your not game to pinch one, the local Salvo's store sell knives for 20cents
a good solid one is best.
a light push on the trim allows the remover tool to go under the button,then just lever up and out they pop,
I made mine to remove the roof lining,Lots of buttons in that job no broken ones.
