    indicator switch irrits

when I put on the indicator, it can take second or two after switching before the indicator starts working. I can usually make it work faster by pushing the stalk away from me, but this doesn't always work.

When I'm approaching a junction I am getting used to turning the indicators on earlier, but if I'm trying to make a quick lane change in traffic, I've usually missed my chance by the time the indicators go on.

I've tried contact cleaner, but its no better. Any ideas other than replacing it?
    Cheers,
    Alex

Other issue with these is an amount of dust can get into the switches and cause poor contact momentarily. If replacing relays doesn't fully fix it, especially cold mornings first up, then try another indicator stalk/ switch. I have had limited success using contact cleaner in them but to do it properly you need to remove the switch from the column and rotate it to get the stuff in there.
