Rear Seat Passenger Side Latch Problem
The rear seat (small passenger side) plastic latch is stuck up & won't lock in the seated position without some manual dilly-dallying with the floor latch, base lever.
How can I adjust this mechanism, as it doesn't seem to run freely like the other side, anyone dealt with this issue?
Is there a way to take up slack in the cables?

Seat latch problem
Have you tried rolling the seat right over forward and closing the floor latch with a screwdriver.
then try you seat back lock and see if it works.
the latch for the seat back is like a small cam and can be adjusted to lay the back further reclined
if it does then work OK then
it sounds like something jammed in the cavity that the seat locks into on the floor,i had the same problem with a small washer jammed in there after doing renovations on my D2
Just a suggestion.

The floor latch closes when you manually pull the floor strap & I can even lock the seat back pulling the floor strap up (plastic latch on seat top then goes down). But this should all happen freely like the other side.
How do you adjust the latch with a screwdriver? All I see are torx nut bolts on that cam case.
No there's nothing on the floor blocking it, I've got the seat half apart.. looked at some other threads on here which say use WD40 on the cam mechanism or maybe the springs have lost there spring tension?
It's funny cause I just had a vehicle inspection & can't register the car again in this state without fixing the seat latch
