I asked the compass mirror question a while back as I wasn't able to determine what trim levels and years had it standard. At the end of the day it appears that except for perhaps the high end ES/SE/HSE models it was probalby an optional extra.

    My 2003 D2a S model has it fitted but neighbours 2004 S model doesn't.

    Cheers

@Rok_Dr, You talking about the compass in the mirror or fold back side mirrors.

My internal mirror has the compass.

Yep the one in the internal mirror. The guy I bought the vehicle from said it was because it was a special model. Mine has upgraded stereo as well.

@joel0407. Do you have the Premium sound system which was standard in the SE or the Harman Kardon from the HSE?

Mine says ES on the rego papers but I'm not even sure that was a trim level designator for the 99.

It appears to be fairly basic to me: 7 seat, SLS, ACE, roof rails, tow bar, cloth seats, 10CD stacker with no tweeter on the A pillars, also no rear aircon, no sun roof.

    Hi Ron

ES was the top range model for the 99 model year. If you have leather trim, timber glove box and front door strips, plus 12 speaker harman kardon stereo then it's an ES otherwise it's an optioned up standard model, which could have ACE, seven seats Etc as options in those days.

Sorry I can't post a bedtime reading brochure for you The one i have is paper not PDF

    Cheers

Yep, it's got the Harman Kardon but the head unit has been replaced with a Clarion unit (little anoyed) so the steering wheel buttons dont work. It has speakers on the A pillar and Harman Kardon amp under the passenger seat. I think I have a ES? It's 2001 model.

    Happy Days.
