Installing Coilrite air bags in Discovery 2

Just about finished installing a couple of Coilrite air bags in my disco. I'm writing up a bit of what I did, which I'll post up later.

Are those protective blankets around yours supplied with the coilrites or homemade?
Mine don't have any, & while I've had no problems to date, I've yet to hit the mallee or spinifex with them fitted.

They came with, albeit an optional extra. As well as protecting the bellows, they also allow double the inflation pressure.

Much harder to fit the both down the centre of the springs though. A tolerance fit would be an understatement!

Yes I totally agree more like a "No way that is gonna go in there!" tolerance fit
I fitted them to the rear of the 110 trayback and apart from the getting them in they work perfect. I took 1 out after 12mths and thew inner bag was like new, not a mark on it, so the Kevlar sleeves really are a worthwhile addition.

I managed to get mine in without removing the spring. Didn't have the extra bag tho...

Yeh the extra bag makes a huge difference.

It does say in the instructions that you can deflate them and squeeze them in through the coil but no way you could do it with the bag on.
