A second set, or first? Your first post indicates you already have some!

Edit: You do say "will have"... so maybe you haven't bought them yet.

Haven't bought them yet. Have everything else though (but no winch and will remain that way!)

You dont need to spend $$$ on Sand/traction Ladders, just take a dozen hessian bags, 1/2 fill them with sand and put under you wheels, job done. cost - free , take up no space & weigh next to nothing

Not sure how we survived before Max Trax were invented and Winches were a necessity.
All of the country you will be traveling through was explored in vehicles that had neither.

Along with heeding all the other advice break camp early as the dunes hold together a lot better before the sun warms the sand up!

    Good luck and have fun!

Easy drive on correct pressures and there are heaps of vehicles every day. Just take shovel as mentioned and a snatch strap just in case.

Agree it can be done without the fancy gear, however...

I imagine being bogged with a shovel and hessian bags was a 5 hour event, not a 15 minute one with winches and sand ladders. I'll take a 15 minute self recovery thanks.

The only place in the Simpson you can get into trouble is the clay pans. If its wet you will struggle with double diff locks
