Yes - thanks for the update. Been monitoring the road closures too. Saw that Marree had good falls.

Airbag jacks and a thick mat are great...
    Lift vehicle, drive off bag...

Gun barrel is a tough gig when it's wet.

Best recovery gear I have for "reaching solid ground" is 250mtrs of Dyneema rope in 50mtr lengths.

The Simpson from the office window today.

Viewed from around the Madigan line looking south.

And here's the French Line. Had to get this from the cabin window as it was less glarey.

    South towards the Rig Road.

If you've got to work a Sunday, not a bad view to have.

Gutted. Sitting here in Coober Pedy with a Td5 making 3mm of oil per 100kms. Turned back from north of Oodnadatta. Oil stinks of diesel.

About to be transported home for a likely new head. O rings done last year and no leaking past them with the rocker cover off.

Kids still happy. It's all an adventure to them.

Caught Yorkie & family tonight for a drink. My first Aulroian encounter! Enjoy your trip!

Aww man that sucks. Hope it's been fun still, even if it's short lived.

It's getting worse! No hire cars in town with more than 100km/day limit.

RACV saying Greyhound bus overnight to Adelaide.

    What a generous offer thank-you.

It's been organised. Overnight greyhound bus to Adelaide then hire car to get to Melbourne. Not a fan of the bus, but it doesn't qualify as stuck!

Will use opportunity and stay with friends in Horsham on the drive across.

Thanks once again Tombie. Much appreciated.

    No problems mate.

If I was working at the site I would come see you now, as its only 65km south of Coober...

But I'm back in Whyalla at the moment.

We managed rig road, waa line, knolls and French line without even using the shovel. 18psi all round and made big red 2nd attempt up the middle.having a blast and in birdsville for 2 nights cleaning up then off to innaminka.
