    V8 D2 mississing badly today

After recently repairing some gas injector wiring where the insulation had crack and left gaps of exposed wire and replaced plugs, all wa going good until this morning, it started to run real rough and drivability was hard ,both on lpg and on petrol.
I hooked up my nanocom and went for a drive, on lpg it showed constant missfire on number 5 cylinder, it would coun't one every split second and when it reached the full count it would start again. Cylinder 7 had the odd miss fire. Cyl 1 and 3 no missfire on that bank.
The other bank cylinders 2,4,6,8 did not show any missfire at all on lpg.

Then I switched to petrol and had miss fire on every cylinder.
Usually a vehicle with ignition probs are masked on petrol and appear on LPG.
Coils are new, leads are new, plugs are new. I will try running on LPG and swap the plug from cyl 5 and insert it into the other bank and see if the missfire appears there.

    I knew I should have bought a td5

I had a similar issue. Newish leads and coil packs. Turns out there was some water leaking thru the bonnet rubber down back of engine into coil pack and causing bad contact on one or two points on a pack. Cleaned out, all good.

Only other time I had bad misfire on both LPG and petrol was a head gasket.

It is referring to the fact you appear to be having a run of bad luck! Have you not heard the saying "I must have run over a chinaman"? ' Humanoid of oriental persuasion' = A Chinaman?

Your bonnet cable wouldnt be dead if you had tbats for sure...your bonnet would have spent most of the time open cleverly saving overuse of the cable. ..

    Cheers
