    D2 Fuel Storage Solutions

    Hi team,
I clearly need as much fuel as I can carry driving the dirty V8.
Just wondering what storage solutions you guys have come up with for your discos.

Is there anything else I could consider for this list?

Roof rack - 2, maybe 3x20L jerry cans

Jerry can holder (possibly mountable to spare tyre) - 2x20L jerry cans
    (other mounting points?)

Brown Davis 142L replacement main tank - $1220 supply only
Brown Davis 55L aux tank - currently N/A to do fitting problem

Cheers (cue 'get a td5' chorus)

    in my v8, i got
    1x 150l main tank
    2x 50l side tanks
5x 30l jerry cans in the back on top of the drawer system
can probably fit another 5 if i tried (and had more jerry cans)

    total 350l

dont forget to take the back seats out for more room

Hahah I like it! Common wisdom would suggest not carrying the fuel inside the cabin.. thoughts?
What is your replacement main tank?

Back seats will be jettisoned pre-trip for sure

My cans were sealed and upright with zero chance of falling over. Didn't smell fumes once.

It's a long range automotive. There is a sticky on the price

I would recommend a search on here re discussions on long range tanks for the Disco2.

As a part of your decision making process, I would also weigh the vehicle. It will surprise you how heavy it is... Well, it did for me.
    Cheers

Yeah I've had a good look at the threads I could find with Eevo's thread being the most informative.

I was hoping to see some external mounting solutions eg rear jerry holders etc.
The 'geri can' as pictured here is a pretty genius solution but they're around $75 US for 20L.

There are also the flexi tanks Flexitank | Pillow Tanks | ContainerPac | 4WD & SUV Vehicle Flexitanks | Inflatable Marker Buoys | Flotation Devices
But they only specify for diesel and water.
Glad I found this because one of those will fit nicely in the D2 rear passenger footwell to carry water.
