I have had one die like unplugging a coil lead on a petrol engine....the cause? Second battery had boiled over due to heat at turbocharger and damaged the plug and wiring to the inertia switch. I rewired it and replaced the corroded switch and all is fine.
Another workshop on the mainland had replaced the injector harness and the CAS to no avail. It was intermittent, too which was quite frustrating.
