I dont have my D2 anymore to check. From memory with a die grinder I removed around 5mm fom the top of the housing for clearance. Unbolt the linkage so you can see the arc it needs to travel through (support your vehicle). The other way to look at it is heat and place a bend in the arm. This will allow extra movement before it rubs. Rovertime in the US do this in their 4 inch lift. The only real way to do it is cut the fitting from the diff and reallign it so angular forces are not put on the bushes wearing them prematurely. PM me if you want a cheap a rear diff housing and a Watts link in good condition to play around with. I used to run a 5 inch lift in the Disco before another forum member bought it.
