Dear Forum,
the attached picture depicts the two bolts at the bottom of the bell housing(?). The one on the left appears to be the proper one with a flanged head, the one on the right is a zinc coloured bolt with a washer and appears to be the source of an annoying oil leak.
Can the forum please advise the specs/part number of the one on the left so I can replace the right hand one. I dare'nt remove either until I have a spare for replacement.

SupporterWhat colour is oil from the leak there?
If it's black/dark then likely to be engine oil and my guess would be that your rear main seal may be gone.
If it's red coloured likely to be ATF and your front seal is probably gone.
The bell housing doesn't seal anything in, so it's unlikely to be the bolt causing your leak.

What colour is the oil? Is it from the engine or transmission? Is there a trail down the right side of the block ending at the "bogus" bolt?
I would not be worried about the bolt appearance. Those bolts are retaining the bell housing, not any fluids, unless there are leaks from the trans input seal, the engine rear main crank seal or welch plugs.
Have a look at the inspection plate (retained by 3 small bolts) to see if there is any further evidence of your leaking fluid.

Thanks for your replies.
I assume it's the bell housing because it is roundish.
The drip is very slight.
When I backed off the bolt in question a small amount of whitish fluid dripped from its housing and then a small drop of black oil appeared.
I degreased underneath on Sunday - it's all dry and clean with no other apparent leaks nor oil running down any side. Understand that bolts shouldn't retain oil but that seems to be the only site.
The questionable bolt is a little loose and will not tighten right up.
First job is to insert the correct bolt then see if it is fixed.

After giving all of the usual suspects a thorough investigation and not resolving it I asked my mechanic to look into it when doing some other work.
It ended up being the leaking front diff pinion seal. It was dripping onto the front propshaft and being flung quite a way up the RHS of the block, mixing with the general crud found on the block plus some rust-proofing product which is black and running back down to the bolt on the bell housing.
Whitish fluid could be water contaminated diff oil too perhaps. I've dropped the fluids from my front diff which were water contaminated and they were distinctly whitish/milky flavoured, err, coloured.
I hope you can sort it soon. It's quite satisfying having no leaks from your vehicle...even if this state of joy only lasts a week or three.
