Hi all,
The time has come to replace the rear door locks on my Disco.
The kids complain they can't get in from the outside!
Anyhow, it's a relatively straight forward job but I busted a few of the trim/panel retaining clips (Christmas tree ones).
I am told the part number is MXC1800, which look the goods but I only tracked the PN down through a D1/Defender manual. Are they the same clips on a D2?
Given that the door locks can't be repaired, I'll buy them from UK and get the clips in the same shipment.
I google search mentions nothing about being compatible with D2 but I suspect they are.
Cheers

you can get the clips from soup'err'cheep. sometimes.
I've never had need to remove the rear door trim but if they are the same as those on the front door these clips are not that expensive.
I just bought a packet of 20 ex-UK and they were less than $8 delivered.
These ones.
I have noticed these have a different p/n to those you referenced though. Perhaps they are different? My D2 front door ones are sort of sky blue in colour.
Exactly!Mine are sky blue as well (not that colour matters). Hence my ask. I don't reckon the colour or part number really matter, surely there are not multiple sizes and models of that particular clip
. I am just perplexed that the PN is so hard to find.
Oh well, small things amuse small minds
BTW, yes they are worth bugger all so I'm gunna get them in the same shipment as the locks and save postage
Cheers
Ralph
Mine arrived today. Exact match, save for being black.
Another job to add to the list...
