6mm.
Hi all,
I had to replace my air bags on the disco recently as one of them started to leak...
Thanks to the forum links on here it was an easy job with a couple of bags sent from the UK (half the price of the ones in OZ).
It got me thinking about one of the suggestions i saw on here in ref to putting a couple of schrader valves put on a bracket somewhere tapped into the system so they could be inflated manually if the compressor goes kapput.
I have a couple of valves from an airbag kit (from a bag of left over bits from a 70 series) but i need to know the size of the air line that is on the Disco at the moment. I have gone through the links in the good oil and did a bit of random searching but cant find anything. All i know is that its pretty small so i probably wont find any in the workshop here on site.
Im up in the Pilbara at work till thursday and the RAVE info is at home in Perth. So looking there is out at the moment.
Can anyone tell me what size it is so i can look at ordering a few connections etc and have them at home by the time i get there.
Thanks in advance
Craig

Damn, I've just aquired a heap of 6mm stuff. Looks like I'll be handing it over to my mate with the rangie.
Thanks for the correction.

Thanks bsperka, i thought it was smaller than 6mm but being a thousand+ km's away from the disco i couldn't really do much about it.

6mm fittings would be so much easier. I carry around a 4mm push on with valve so I can inflate with tyre compressor if required.
Can you please post a pic of the said 4mm push on with valve ?.
Might be an easier option than what i want to do.
