Can trailing arm bushes be worn but appear good?

It has 250,000km on it. I've done the last 25,000km. Suspension wise the only main items that could be older than 50,000km are the the bushes in the radius arms. I was referring to the front radius arms sorry. Forgive my terminology lapse.

The Panhard Rod does need adjusting (replacement) but it won't really affect steering alignment in the roundest interpretation. It only pushes the axle across and out of line with the rear axle.

The superpro bushes are a lot cheaper and easier to change, cutting out the old ones isn't too bad either. The last set I did on mine ended up as suprepro's because trying 3 sets of OEM's and they were all the wrong size by enough thou's to be too dig to press in. The superpro's when greasy are a challenge but just go in with a vice.

Just had a close look at my rear tyres. Sumitomos 265/70 r16s. Tread wise they are close to needing replacement, but the sidewalls on both tyres appear to have uniform scuffing up to about 8cm down the sidewall. The scuffing has been enough to actually erase the raised information lettering on the sidewall. Comparing the newish Goodyears on the front shows the Sumitomo sidewalls to look like balloons. A lot of fine cracking evident. Whatever the cause of my steering issues I am guessing these rear tyres need replacing urgently. Yes - the tyre pressure have always been up around the 40psi mark(44 with the camper on back).

So I went and changed the Sumis for some BFGs this arvo. I changed my current Goodyear wranglers to the back and put the BFGs on the front. A massive improvement! What really amazes me is that the steering wheel is now central rather than having a 5-10 degree tip to the left when driving straight. I did not get a wheel alignment today as it was done a month ago. I'll get it done anyhow. This was true even for low speed. Happy days!

At 250k km I would e checking your wheel bearings.

Drivers side front hub replaced 8000km ago. Passenger side hub good. Not sure about rear.
