    I bought a D2 TD5 2004 :-)

    Hello Together,

    Thanks to Will, who inspected the car for me today in Melbourne, I purchased a D2 :-).

    Seems to be in good condition and most moods already done

    So far car has:

    4 inch suspension lift by Les Richmond Automotive.
    33 inch Cooper Muddies
    TMJ Front bull bar
    Lightforce GXT Spotlights
    Ashcroft Rear diff locker
    ARB compressor
    Heavy Duty Rear Axels
    Dual batteries
    GME UHF Radio
    3 inch exhaust
    Bruce Davis - Performance chip and after market intercooler
    Upgraded front drive shaft
    Cargo barrier

    Will pick car up next week

    Definitely will put some rock sliders and under body protection on asap
    any suggestions?

    Turbo Timer
    BIG intercooler
    NO oil leaks from the engine
    Boost controller
    Bilsteins front, Konis rear
    Nice tight driveline, no backlash
    Intact roof lining
    Extended diff breathers
    Airtec snorkel
    DVD kit
    Boost gauge
    Black cloth interior

    It's made me REALLY want to get the black interior, would look great with my black roof lining

    Certainly sounds like a ripper vehicle however you should be aware that Turbo Timers are not legal in Victoria. It may well fail it's RWC with it in. Also not too sure on the 4" lift. If you have an engineers certificate you'll probably be ok but the new rules on lifts etc are very strict.

    Look forward to seeing you on the tracks with it though

    It's going to NSW next week, so rego will be sorted there. May have to remove the lift etc. for RWC. I'm sure Steve has factored that in.

    If you're trying to engineer the lift in NSW, the LR kit is certified in Vic, so it may tfr to NSW, but do not mention ACE (if fitted) as they class it as an Electronic Stability System and any lift is illegal with those apparently, but lowering isn't.

    will get Davies Performance here in Sydney to sort out blue slip and registration apparently Les Richmond lift is engineered so will see what I need to do to get it registered and ideally also engineered here in NSW

    I had a massive argument with an engineer about ACE, ESP's have integration with the braking systems as well as other stuff in the vehicles that it's fitted to. ACE is simply a body levelling system for lack of a better description. Doesn't matter a jot to this idiot who couldn't provide a description of how ESP worked, I had to tell him and explain the difference. Make it taller make it more unstable and for some reason a system that compensates for instability couldn't cope with instability.
