    What is this?

A big howzit to the guys down under. I'm from South Africa and have been browsing this forum for quite some time now. This is my first post.

I seem to have found the source of a very small, yet irritating oil leak. Behind the alternator, on the block. It seems to be coming from a rather large grub screw located in the side of the block. Before stripping all and sundry off to unscrew and seal this, would I need anything like an o-ring or such? Is there anyone who has had this problem before? The image is from this site. Thanks to Psimpson7 for the image. ( maybe you can best be of help, since you had that engine open and so beautifully rebuilt.)You can see the grub screw in question just to the front of the engine from the welsh plug, circled in red...

Any help would be appreciated, as we have a trip planned and would like to get this sorted before, albeit for peace of mind.

So I got bored and did it for you.

    It's listed in:

    G ENGINE
    G01 ENGINE, 2500 - DIESEL - TURBO - TD5
G01.030 CYLINDER BLOCK (2.5L 5 CYL TURBO DIESEL)

I believe the item is PLUG-BLANKING Part number: LCM100150
