Try using the key in the door to unlock and then lock without opening the door. Take the key out of the door and try unlocking with the remote.

It might be worth changing the battery in the fob.

Is it parked in its usual place?

I had something similar happen to my D2 about 6 months ago, so the suggestion to try the key lock/unlock then use the remote unlock before opening the door is based on first hand experience

The lack of response from the remote is usually due to the immobiliser timing out as a result of interference or a problem with the receiver. If the remote works after the unlock/lock cycle using the key in the lock it is definitely a timeout problem.

There is a Tech Bulletin on RAVE ( L8605b u) covering this and the fix is to replace the receiver - which is located behind the headlining at the point the roof steps up.

Part for the RX is YWY000080 for 433Mhz systems.

I had tried that didn't work also had fitted a new battery to remote
this morning reconnected the battery with door open alarm went off pressed fob and all back to normal
