A work colleague and Green Oval nut suspects the rear Fulcrum/Ball joint.
My D2 seems to have an intermittent judder when cruising. Not all the time just sometimes on the freeway about 60 -80kph when my foot is taken off the gas it judders a little undeneath. Not a loud clunk or vibration. And again with foot back on the gas a jiggle or judder like something engages... Most of the time the driveline is smooth and tight.
It's having a service Friday and I have asked my mechanic to take a look but has anyone else had this symptom?
It's happened a couple of time in the past month. I drove back from the EXPO in Syndey Sunday purposely on and off the gas from time to time and it never did it once....

Me thinks this sympton was the same as mine, ended up being the front drive shaft cardan joint had a small amount of slop. Replaced all three unis and centreing bearing and problem resolved. Worthwhile checking because if this lets go........................well enough threads say what happens.![]()
Well it's coming up 13 years old so prevention is better that a cure right?!
May just get that swapped out..
I'll report back the diagnostic..
