    "A" Piller trim rivets

Anybody know where I could grab a few of those plastic rivets on a Saturday in Brisbane?

I need to pull the A piller trim off to fix the rubber gasket and am 99% certain I will break them getting it off

It's the only thing I bought from Austral Land Rover. They are slightly different to the originals.

I would say they are fairly brittle but if you are careful you should be ok. A very small press in the centre and they should move (depress) about 3 mm and you can extract them.

Don't push too hard otherwise they will be lost in the frame of the car.

    Regards
    Andrew

They aren't the problem as much as the 3 clips that go into the pillar that are on the front of the plastic cowl. Be gentle removing it. As for the clipsyou mentioned, pop into the closest panel shop and they should be able to supply you with an equivalent for nothing.

I just did it then, pushed in the centers, still tight as a, anyway I put a wide paint scraper between the panel and the windscreen and gently prised it up enough to fix the seal up,

I accidently pushed the seal under the panel when running a wire for my roof light.

I think the good people at Land Rover must have used snail DNA in making that seal, every time I tried to pull it out it would retract back into its bloody hole!

I'd like to say its all good for now, but id rather keep my mouth shut.
