I assume you are talking 265/75/16 tyres? I will stand corrected, but my understanding is to fit this tyre you need a 50mm lift.

Now if you are adding 50mm spacers to sagged springs, you are not going 50mm higher that standard height.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

yeah, 265/75/16 tyres. you have a point here. 265's do seem to be the go. just had a trip up to lancelin, and the highway shoes on the disco at the moment did not have a good time.... seems a pity to replace them since they have so much meat left on them.

    but i digress,
the car has sagged about 40mm from what i can tell and would have been that way since i bought it, plus loaded up with all my kit i lose more height still... so new heavy duty springs and shocks will give me almost 100mm on what i have now. plus the ability to fit new, meatier tyres makes this pretty much the all round best option.

slab i'm afraid.... and with no SLS i'll be parking outside post-lift since, unfortunately, i cannot raise my garage door any higher.

high lift jack under each corner of the house maybe? add another couple of rows of bricks and presto! one garaged discovery.

I did a trip to Melbourne last week. Before I left I googled multi story car parks and their clearance. As of next week I will not fit in any of them.
