2001 TD5 Auto-gearbox oil cooler pipes
Would like to replace my Auto-gearbox oil cooler pipes before they burst...
Is there a real difference in quality between the Land rover 85GBP "Genuine" to the BRITPART 34GBP "OEM" ?

I fitted the 'OEM' ones last December, they looked exactly like the originals and they've given no problems in 20,000kms of use!

I got mine from Sovereign Motors here in Adelaide. They gave me the choice of Genuine or 'aftermarket' (Britpart or Bearmach, cant remember) ones at about $100 cheaper for the pair. Took a few days for them to arrive and when I when to fit them they had 'OEM' written on each one.
I compared them to the old ones and they looked identical.
I did them at about 190,000km just after I did the head gasket. When removing the old radiator I'd noticed at the connection on the LHS of the trans cooler that the hose was starting to slide off the union and was weeping when I refitted it.
Bugger of a job, I was able to borrow a hoist to do it and it still took a couple of hours.
