Hi, I bought a six side 27mm socket and carry it and a breaker bar in my TD5, when I need to swap wheels I use those to loosen the nut then the LR issue wheel brace to undo them off the stud (easy to spin once the nut is loose with the shorter handle) then the opposite for tightening up.
I also changed all my driven wheel nuts to standard non locking and only use the locking nuts on the spare which I dont go crazy on doing up just a tweak.
Since Ive gone to this set up I have had no more cover cap issues, but using a twelve side socket seemed to aggravate some of the caps in the past - leading to swearing, kicking
and other such non LR behaviour
