d1 or d2 Driver seat base tilt adjustment

I am curious as to whether anyone has modified a drivers seat in a d1 or d2 to achieve seat base tilt adjustment. My father has a bad back and he can't get comfortable unless the seat base is tilted up slightly at the front. I've looked and found that ES models can have a leather electric seat which I presume has that adjustment. I wonder if anyone else has had the same issue and modified an ordinary seat.

I would suggest contacting one of the mobs who do vehicle modifications for disability access. They would possess a wide range of skills and knowledge to advise you.
    Good luck

    Electrical Adjustable Seats

Your best possibility would, as you have suggested, to obtain an electrically adjustable seat from a higher spec model Discovery, or alternatively make up an angled base to fit under the existing seat ensuring you use the correct grade of bolts to secure.

    seat tilt

What about longer front bolts and a couple of over sized nuts used as spacers under the seat and on top of the base rail ?
