Thread: D2 Remote door locks not working and not starting

Remote door locks not working I unlocked my D2(1999) this morning using the remote. I had the back door open all day as I am fitting draws etc in. I tried to lock it tonight and it would not lock with the remote. I got the spare key thinking the remotes battery was flat but still no luck. I then thought that the D2's battery may be flat and tried starting the L.R. , it wont start not a peep from the starter the dash lights are bright but they dim out when I try to start the L.R. The battery is new about 2 months old I never had my interior lights on or the radio playing all day . I will check the batteries voltage in the morning but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what would cause the this problem. If I recall correctly when the last battery was on its way out the remote still locked and unlocked the car. Could it be that the remote/locking is some how preventing the starting.
