I did but on some defenders. One thing is that the td5 defender is not obd2 compatable and you can only read one or two values. The later defender is obd2 and you can read everything. I assume this may apply to the d2 as well.

The wireless part of the equation is pretty much irrelevant to whether OBDII works or not. Providing you buy a interface that is compatible with the OS of choice you'll be able to connect to it.

Most of the generic OBDII interfaces use the ELM327 chip or a clone of it. This chip provides an AT modem style command set for
interfacing to the standard diagnostic protocols.

You'll find that unless the obd software is written for a proprietary interface it will use the ELM327 command set to request data from the ECU.

So you have a situation where the software and interfaces are by and large speaking a common language and using standard protocols for wireless, so it's not really a question of getting them to work - they just work

    Cheers
    Paul

I have heard that stores like Jaycar have held them in the past, but by the time you actually find one, you could have got one from OS, and for a fraction of the price.

You may detect the bluetooth OBD2 adaptor with your bluetooth capable GPS but unless you have a ELM 327 program installed you wont be able to connect or see data. A disco 2 is not fullly OBD2 compliant and as mentioned earlier doesnt provide many parameters anyway

Ive been using a OBD2 wifi (not bluetooth) to ELM327 setup to communicate realtime engine ECU data to my iphone and my toughbook for Puma and RRS. Works a treat. Just remember to assign the network address specified in the instructions
