    Question D2 reverse camera mounts

Looking for ideas. Where have you mounted the reversing camera on the back of your D2? Pictures are always good!

Underneath the handgrip? on the rear door. The camera is aligned to make sure I can see the towball as well as what is behind the vehicle. That makes it easy to hook up the caravan /trailers etc. Sorry no pics, but can take some if needed.

    Cheers

On the underside of the bumper

Roughly in line with the middle of the spare wheel centre line. Why there? Already had holes drilled from some previous accessory. Wires through the grommet on the passenger (lhs) of the vehicle.

I have mine attached to the RH top of the numberplate with the camera as far as possible to the right so that I get the towbar , but also as accurate for reversing as possible.
I have a swivel camera mounted on a long bracket , and I cut off the RH side of the bracket , dismantled the camera from the bracket and drilled another countersunk hole under the camera. These went into the existing holes in the numberplate.

Am interested to find out if the camera mounted inside on the brakelight housing allows you to see the towbar? Keeping clean would be a great thing if it can.

    Rear View Camera position

Here's where i put mine, heaps of room, a little bit fiddly to get housing off taildoor, but very secure from D**kheads that like to bend or swipe these things.can see top of towball,Painted white easier to see
also have vision to 4 metres rearward.
and nite vision.wired in with Azentek smart mirror.

The runny stuff on the paint is apparently called rain, don't know much about it really, don't see it that often, not since June the last time.
    cheers

For those that have mounted the rear view camera underneath the handle on the rear door, where did you run the cable in to the cabin for the camera?

    The more pics the better.

    While we are at it
Monitor locations would be good as well. I am thinking a small screen above the mirror. I don't have a sunroof, lots of blanking pieces up there.

I have my monitor attached to the flat area behind the mirror. I found a 4 inch mirror to be just right.
If you dig around to the front right of the interior lamp you will find some wires , one of which has ign on live. These are for the non existent sunroof.
if you get a wireless camera it becomes very easy to fit it all up. I just rested the receiver on the shelf.
