Thread: new 2004 Td5

I bought 2004 Td5 a/c auto.
with the 4wd lever mod. like in the tdi300
i have 3 problems:
1. the left and right rear doors won't open by the key or by the top button, just from the inner handle. how to fix it?
2. in the first start all the dash light are on, and the car go like in third gear, in the second start it goes good like nothing has happened. what to do?
3. in order of making the Td5 has basic has possible, are there any sensors that are Recommended to cancel?

Craig is correct, more than likely the door actuators are stuffed. Around $100 each and, in my book, a fiddly job to do, but worth it.

With your other issue re dash lights/gear change, I'd suggest getting hold of a Hawkeye/Nanocom diagnostic tool and clearing all codes and see what happens then.

Any new codes coming up should point you in the right direction. There maybe someone on here near you with the this tool who is willing to help.

As for disconnecting some features, would not recommend it. Very rewarding feeling when you have got everything behaving itself.
