Replace the rotoflex. When you pull out the old one and bend it, you'll feel quite satisfied. The real question is whether to do the rubber bushing in the end of the shaft at the same time. It's a pain. Just search and see. I had to weld the metal shell to an old wheel brace and thump it out with a lump hammer.
Cheers,

Regarding rotoflex replacement, I think it depends on how you use your disco. If it's bog standard and you only use it around town, then I agree with Slunnie. However, if you have a lift and go off road carrying gear and equipment (ie loaded), I agree with ZzSteve; my recommendation is to change it to a cardan joint. I went through 3 of those rotoflex couplings in around 100k, including in the middle of the Simpson. Very inconvenient. Have since done another 60k with the cj without issues.
Replacing the engine mounts cured my similar problem.
Thanks fellas re the engine mounts. I have heard that heavy towing can take its toll on the engine mounts. As I tow a 23 ft van I qualify for heavy towing.

Yep towed my jayco swan outback twice and finished mine off. Easy to check them as the have a hole is n the bottom of the mount. Should be at least 10mm clearance inside the hole. If the rubber mount is sitting close to or against the hole....stuffed.
Oh and genuine only. 48 pounds each from UK. Aftermarket ones have a bad rep on the UK forums for not lasting.
Cheers
Dave
I got mine from Rimmer's. Shipping was about £50.
