Thread: D1 auto pan and dipstick into a D2?

    I don't know if it is helpful but AFAIR , my RRC 92 auto took 4 litres to refill after a stock drain, replace filter and refill, and my D2 takes the same for the regulation drool out of the filler plug..

    I think you can assume from that , that the dipstick would provide a pretty accurate level on a D2 transmission.

    Except if the pans are different shapes and therefore the 4L is measured at a different height...

    But my old and imperfect memory tells me the pans are the same except for the filler hole/dipstick hole, and they may be at differnet heights but that would not matter.

    It also makes sense as the filter is the same and again AFAIR the pickup is the same .

    I found a webpage with parts numbers.

    Looks like they changed the oil level along the way.

    Good find DiscoKym.


    I had a look at the items and pricing and thought the price of the pan was very reasonable at 4.68 Euro but then the kicker, the dipstick tube is 184 Euro!
