P16 engine in MY 2001
Does anybody know when the P16 Td5 engine became available?
My 2001 Td5 has a P 16 engine in it, the same engine number is listed in the
"SevicePortfolio and Owner Information"booklet.
Why I would like to know is because I need a new radiator (the spigot for the bleed-pipe broke off), and there seem to be different radiators and hoses around.
Thanks for any help

I recall seeing a post on a UK forum that mention the P16 and a few others. It's a while since I read it but I have a feeling the prefix indicated a factory replacement engine.
All I've been able to find doing a quick search is that 10P engines had a range of 10P -> 14P and the 15P from 15P -> 19P.
I found this list of 10P engine number prefixes which gives an idea of what the higher numbers were used for:
12P - stripped engine
13P - stripped engine minus cylinder head
14P - short engine
