Thread: Not so new but newish..

Well it's the holidays and I have finally some time to myself to make an introduction (better late then never)... I have been a Land Rover convert for may years which addiction started when I restored a Disco 1 a few years ago. Unfortunately due to a growing family the Disco was sold to a another Land Rover fanatic and I was Land Rover less for a few years.

Then the after the kids become a little more independent... the hunt started for a Disco 2a After many months of searching and looking at many Discos, I found a May 04 Discovery in a yard on the Sunshine Coast. The yard was actually useful as they had retained the previous owners invoices and contact details! after a carful inspection and phone call to the previous owner and carefully checking its history a deal was done.

The Disco was unaltered mechanically and still retained absolutely every thing it was originally sold with down to the ageing GPS which Land Rover Aust supplied with the vehicle when it was originally first sold.

Then the fun started: First trip straight to MR Automative for a full fluid and filter change, engine watch dog and a second inspection, all came back good
The over the next year with the help of this site and MR the Disco was gradually modified to be a touring vehicle.

I had the usual set backs... fuel pump and xzy switch and exhaust manifold. All of which happened under warranty which the car yard which were fantastic, they simply came and pick up the Disco, took it to British Off Road and had it fixed no questions asked.

From then on we fitted draws, cargo barrier, coilrites, Bruce Davis engine chip, upgraded uni's and drive train mods, up grade the exhaust cat and centre muffler and the list continues... And for Christmas a new set of fitted seat covers, 180k service and road trip.
