			Radiator replaced

Well after trying to do some preventive maintenance, I broke the expansion outlet on the top of the radiator, thought it would be a good idea to get rod of the solid plastic hose and run some 8mm heater hose.
So I managed to get myself a new radiator and whilst at it I thought I'll do the thermostat as well. I recently purchased a few items from the u.k so thought now us the time, pity is didn't just happen to have a upgraded intercooler sitting there ready to go as well :-(
The replacement did take a while and I must say if you don't do things in the complete reverse from dissasemble you know about it :-)
After putting everything back together and test driving I straight away noticed that the temp gauge came up to 1/4 quickly and hit running temp not long after, which is 1/2 on the gauge. I've also noticed that the car is far more responsive and has more smother power delivery, easier gear changes in the manual box. Does the operating temp have anything to do with the fueling or air fuel ratio?
I did notice that the radiator was blocked up a fair bit on the fins with grass and old mud. Can this somehow aid in drawing more air through the intercooler since replacing the radiator. Not sure what it is but, it definitely has changed something
Cheers
