thanks for the tip , cleaned off some old rego sticker adhesive quick as ! even smells nice inside now.
No idea but it did. It was the absorbent paper towel from the kitchen.
paper is made of wood fibers. Depending on the quality of the paper, The fibers are hard enough along with additions of manufacturing chemicals to scratch. Paper towels are pretty unrefined, consisting of "fluffed up' coarse wood fibers to absorb moisture. As a test rub 1 on the inside of your arm ( Or if u have 9 lives , SWMBO's :D )
Papers are made softer by more refining, that is more intesive pulping of the fibers, but even tissues should not be used on optics or windscreens .
Cheers Scott
Unfortunately Bowdens dont have a Glass Polish like Autoglym but their Naked Glass is a pretty good cleaner...
The only thing I use to clean all glass in my customers cars now is plain old water and a quality chamois.. I use the Bowdens Chamois... they are perfect..
100% streak free and even removes dog slobber and childrens greasy hand prints...
I always had a bottle of good old Repo polish in my trucks, the stuff that has been around for decades, in the brown bottle. A mild abrasive that doesn't cut glass and smartly removes all crap from the screen. No silicone or wax to stuff up vision when the screen gets wet. I have not found anything better. If caught with a filthy windscreen in the rain and no Repo, wipe off the screen with clean newspaper. Works really well.
