Thanks for the new ideas! I will check the oil in the injector harness as well as test the MAF with multimater.

Hesitation in the auto to power up at start when dropped into "D" or other positions can be a symptom of a failing pump. As I found out can be expensive if ignored! The problem starts slightly and gradually gets worse . It can appear suddenly, as mine did and leads to rough changes and can lead 1 to think it is other things like controller, XYZ, etc. Pay to check pressures to rule it out.

Is it possible (showing my ignorance here) that sludge is blocking the oil filter in the gearbox and it takes a while for oil to flow. Has the oil filter in the gearbox been replaced any time recently?

I do not know about the filter as i own the car for about a year only. But I think if it would be a mechanical issue like blocked filter or similar, it would show up differently.
This problem was also reported by the previous owner (who is a professional car mechanic and landy fan) so the car has this problem for more than 1-2 years. I do not feel it is getting worse or better.
Even the engine is cold or hot it does the same and exactly for the same time (about 5 sec)! After thinks back to normal and the car runs fine without any issue until I stop it.
Also strange that when i stop the engine (after drive when the engine is on normal operation temp) and restart immediately (nothing can cool back or blocked again) the problem comes back exactly the same way.

The pump that is behind the bellhousing. the converter fits on it. It is also called the "Fluid Pump" in the repair manual. Heres a pic I found on the net

Thanks! How can I check if it works properly? (I do not have repair manual).

I have no idea how to check it. I have looked at the RAVE and there appears to be no procedure in it. I assume there is a pressure check that can be done on it though. A reputable Auto repair center should know. Sorry i can not be more specific.
    Cheers Scott
