Sounds like it could be the problem to me can you get hold of one to try

I have a 2003 D2 V8 and sometimes when cold it doesn't always start smoothly. Kinda sounds like its not quite getting enough fuel for a second then it runs just fine.
A couple of times I've had that fault chime sound so I thought I'd plug in the nanocom and check for faults.
This is what I found.
p0314 = Lambda Sensor upstream Catalyst bank 1 drive cycle C occurred 1 times
signal missing
Fault is currently present
Fault determined as persistent
Fault causes the mil lamp activation.
Could this be a O2 sensor gone bad?
Any ideas appreciated.

PM ME FOR WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR
Just spoke to my LR mechanic. From my description he is 90% sure it will be a head gasket....eek!!!!
I love my Disco, but holy crap it's turning into a money pit!!
Next time you cold start your engine, run it only for a couple of seconds. Then remove all the spark plugs and look for traces of coolant. If you find a wet one at either end of the motor there's a fighting chance it's just a head gasket. If it's in any of the middle 4 cylinders you definitely have a failed block. Kiss your savings account goodbye.
Oh and coolant will rapidly poison an O2 sensor so that will need replacing after the fixup.
LR mech reckons in his experience with the 4lt motor 90% it's head gaskets. Said he's done heaps, he said sometimes they only last 4-5 years and you have to do them again.
I'll have to wait for a weekend To pull plugs out and check for coolant.
I'm almost tempted to cost finance on a D4....
