I found this fantastic website - < DIY Kits & Components > - amongst all the other handy fitting accessories, they sell a Land Rover Td5 Sandwich Adapter Kit (which is mentioned on the MadMan website at MadMan - Temperature Adapters ) - see Coolant Adapter - Land Rover Td5 - and it's only around AUD $25.00 which is a bargain! I was surprised that Nata Enterprises doesn't sell them too (nothing listed at http://www.nata.net.au/shop/adapters-senders-c-25.html ).

So I will fit and use the sandwich plate for the coolant temperature sensor probe.

I have received the low coolant level sensor from the Engine Saver people which will replace that sensor.

Meaning that I can now get rid of that plastic coupling in the middle of my top radiator hose!

I thought that the plastic bit that fits the middle of the cut hose was the ducks guts as it removes the dodgy bleed screw from the hose.

Which MadMan do you have, the round or rectangle one? Where have you mounted it, as I plan to get one and I have the same vehicle as you?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

No, it adds to additional coolant hose joins which are prone to leaking.

I have the round unit mounted on a Speco gauge mount above the CD player. About to redo and install it into a MudPod.

Check out the LandyOnline site I linked previously - they sell a good mounting bracket to suit.

You still keep the bleed screw, the plastic bit just sits inline. Mine seems to be ok, only minor issue was not using enough thread locker on the probes so some weeping but reinstalled and all ok.
