No one knows? I'd be keen to find out for myself.
Before driving north to Gayndah, towing a heavy trailer, I decided to go over the vehicle, namely the AAP,MAP/IAT & MAF sensors, gave them a good spray of MAF cleaner, also sprayed all connections, [ they were fairly clean, I do it every service. ] One thing I noticed, the AAP & MAP/IAT o'rings had flattened , and the sensors were not really a tight fit in their housings. Now the vehicle just passed thru 370,000 kms. Changed the o'rings, and it drove like a different vehicle. Could those o'rings make such a difference? Bob

If you believe RAVE you are meant to replace the o-ring on the MAP every time you disturb it.
The only one the local bearing shop had was looser than the original so I threw away the replacement and haven't bothered since.
You'd get a small boost leak with around the MAP if the o-ring was really bad, but can't imagine it would have a significant negative effect. Same with the air box sensor - you get a leak but it will still be measuring the pressure reasonably accurately, so no real reason that replacing the o-rings would make a big difference.
Could well be that removing and replacing has cleaned the contacts on the connectors.
