4mm. Just undo the hose connectors slightly the front of the compressor box to release air from lines. Left for left hand side; right one for right hand side.
Hi. I have been trying to find the correct size of the sls air lines. I believe they are 4mm, but hoping someone can confirm. I don't want to get 3/16 line if its 4mm and visa versa.
Also, is there a way to completely remove the air pressure before working on it safely?
Thanks simon

You are correct 4mm line

Thanks guys.
Will hopefully get stuck into it in the next few days. I am going to make & fit an emergency over ride / bypass valve.
What's your thoughts on just cutting the pipes, or do you think undo the fittings and buy a screw in t piece? I think I will do it as it just looks nicer.
SLS is pretty reliable. Components, especially airbags, are service replacement items every 4 -6 years. Compressor should only need replacing if ignoring airbag leaks or drowned during water crossing. Yes, compressor duty cycle sucks at 5 per cent, but works for 5 to 10 years. But you are adding in more connectors (sources of failure/leaks) just in it case it fails...
Are you going to have one between the compressor and valve body? (Relies on compressor piston seal being ok). Needs hookup to compressor electrics to work in conjunction with valves via slabs.
2, one in each line?
I would carry the kit in the vehicle somewere for if you have a failure, adding the extra connections just leaves somewere else for the air to escape,I am sorry that i fitted the emergency kit as the press in fittings i got with the kit started to leak after a short time and i had to find better connections,PIA for sure.
Fully agree with that. The other reason I wanted to do it was to put an equalising valve in, shut off the sls, and have both sides connected to each other. ( for good articulation. It's a bit experimental, but I want to try. The other way to do this I think is to open both valves at the same time with out the compressor running, assuming that the valve can let air back into the compressor side. Now I writing this I'm thinking it must have a non return valve somewhere, or valves only work 1 way. Any ideas? And what wiring needs to be done?
There's a big steel tube (diff housing) that assists in articulation most probably more than cross linking bags?? Need to shut off sls only, not abs (ie not at slabs).
Just remember to support the chassis and the axle---
On this silver one I added 100mm of extra line to each side as well as a schrader valve,, so thats 8 extra push-in connections. If you add the green one in, thats runs up to 12 push-ins that havent leaked.
