    High Voltage - Help!

    Hi all,

    i seem to have constantly high voltage in my disco 2. its sitting around 16-17v.

    i have removed the alternator and replaced the voltage regulator and it didnt fix anything.

    it seems im out of ideas.

    can someone please help me out

    Try a different multi meter? They tend to read odd when their battery is down.

    i have tried a few different voltage/multimeters and the alternator is definately putting out too much voltage.

    i have the warning lights up on the dash

    could it be something to do with the plug that plugs in the back of the alternator? does that control anything to do with the voltage output?
