If your oil is silverish in colour it most likely is at its end of serviceable life. This is what happened to mine at 265K km.
Have it checked by a reputable auto specialist or LR specialist such as Jordan Rover-Tech :: Jordan Rover-Tech - Perth, Western Australia
If your trans is original and has done 250k km + it will be close to its use by date. Some have gone beyond 300k km but this is less common.
When the friction material in your auto or torque converter is worn down you will begin to have metal to metal contact hence one reason you may have silverish oil. Metal particles find their way into the valve body resulting in slow or no shifts. In this case just a fluid change or valve body replacement is a waste of time. That's why a full diagnosis is required.
Good luck.

well the oil has been changed by dealer n had a look as well he erase the computer n said there is some problem with gearbox and he is blaming me for that…i so feel like to punch his head hey
Generally when you find tiny metal particles in your trans oil something is buggered. Its either the convertor or the trans its self. Unless you were towing 4 tonne on a 40 dgree day I find it very hard to believe you ruined the trans. How many klms has it done?
regards.
Michael.
Yes it sounds like time for a rebuild with the silver oil. May also be issues with the XYZ switch or wiring loom with the said computer communication problem and limp home.
Solutions include getting a rebuild at your local auto service or punching the guy in the head as suggested.
For me the most cost effective method was to get in touch with ZF head office in Sydney who sent me a reconditioned unit, I had it fitted by my local auto gearbox service guy and then I had to send back the old unit to ZF.
it did 210704 when i bought it n I did 500 km b4 this happen. where is this zf unit in sydney whats the process n how much it cost u all over ? can i have there detail pls address and contact no. as i live in perth so don't know wht they ring to charge me. thanks for the help.
cheers

I had a reco box and torque converter done by zf 2 months ago. It cost me about $3800 delivered to brisbane. This included freight sending my trans back to them in Sydney.
then you need to git it. Expect approx another $1000.

Michael.
