    i just bought recondition gearbox n he said they use latest upgrades for the trannys so i hope they use hp24 specs i will ask him next time i go to him so if its hp22 thats mean don't worry bout upgrading....

    identical problems i was hoping a fluicd top up maybe the answer.! Is atf the same as aforementioned oil which goes silver?

    I'm having problems with my D2 V8 auto trans.
    I popped a trans cooler hose going up a long hill and the trans stopped working forward or back once I stopped.
    I have refilled the trans sump but still no forward back motion, seems the box isn't shifting.
    Do i need to put more fluid in or is it stuffed.

    James did you fill it with the engine running because it has to be running or you won't get enough oil in

    I started filling it with the engine running.
    Then I burnt my arm on the exhaust and decided if I move the car where I had more room it would be easier.
    I'll try again with the engine running and wear long sleeves.
